Texas Wagyu Denver Steak
The culinary insider’s best-kept secret, perfected with bold Texas character. Carved from the center of the chuck primal, the Denver steak offers the rich, complex beefiness of a ribeye paired with a velvety, fork-tender texture that rivals the tenderloin. By crossing champion Japanese Wagyu with heritage Black Angus, our Texas Wagyu Denver steak delivers dense webs of intramuscular fat wrapped in a structured, steakhouse-worthy grain that creates a deep, caramelized crust on the cast iron.
Choose Your Marbling Tier
-
Texas Wagyu (BMS 6–8): Far surpassing traditional USDA Prime, this tier showcases generous ribbons of creamy marbling woven through a tender muscle grain. It strikes the perfect equilibrium: an unmistakably juicy, buttery bite balanced by the robust, savory chew that steak purists love.
-
Texas Wagyu Platinum (BMS 9–12): Our most elite tier of crossbred marbling. Spiderwebs of delicate, ultra-fine Wagyu fat lace every millimeter of the steak, melting into savory tallow at lower cooking temperatures. Expect an exceptionally velvety, fork-tender texture and a deep, decadent umami finish that coats the palate with pure richness.
The G Five 50/50 Heritage Advantage
While pure Wagyu is prized for delicate softness, crossing it with premier American cattle creates an unbeatable, balanced steak:
-
50% Texas Angus Backbone: Provides the deep, earthy, mineral-rich beef profile that holds up to blistering cast iron sears, open flame, and bold seasoning.
-
50% Japanese Wagyu Lineage: Significantly lowers the melting point of the fat, ensuring the steak self-bastes from within for an ultra-juicy, melt-on-the-palate finish.

Chef’s Searing Guide
Due to its dense marbling and tender grain, the Texas Wagyu Denver is at its absolute best cooked hot and fast to medium-rare.
-
Temper: Thaw completely in the refrigerator over 24 hours. Set on the counter for 20–30 minutes before cooking to remove the refrigerator chill.
-
Season: Pat thoroughly dry with paper towels. Season generously on all sides with G5 SPG Seasoning or coarse sea salt right before hitting the heat.
-
Sear & Baste: Heat a heavy cast iron skillet over high heat until lightly smoking. Add a spoonful of G5 Wagyu Beef Tallow, lay the steak in, and sear for 2 to 3 minutes per side until a rich, dark-mahogany crust forms.
-
Target Temperature: Pull the steak when the internal temperature reaches 130°F–135°F for a juicy medium-rare.
-
Rest & Carve: Rest on a warm cutting board for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute. Slice across the grain into pencil-thick strips and serve immediately.
